ACELS와 MEI의 차이점에 대해서 알려드릴께요.^^;
ACELS는 아일랜드 정부기관에서 운영을 하고 있는 어학연수기관 단체입니다.
즉 어학연수기관을 설립하고자 하는 모든 이들(대학부설 포함)은 ACELS에서
인가를 받아야만 설립을 할 수 있습니다.
영국같은 경우에는 현지인이면 아무나 다 세울 수 있지만, 특별히 정부의
규정이 없는 걸로 알고 있구요. 아일랜드에서는 ACELS에서 모든 관리를 합니다.
The Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) was established in 1969 under the auspices of the Irish Department of Education & Science to control standards in EFL schools and organisations through an inspection/recognition scheme. ACELS administers the scheme which leads to School Recognition by the Department of Education & Science. The list of recognised ELT organisations is published on an annual basis - please follow the link on the left for The Official List of Schools and Organisations Recognised by the Department of Education & Science in 2005, which includes the schools' contact details.

MEI는 어학연수 사립기관으로서 일정금액을 학교로부터 받고, 학교광고를 대행을 해주는 역활등을 하고 있으며, 우리나라 말로 치면, 어학연수 협의회정도 겠네요. 예를들어, 한국에서 노래방을 운영을 하고 있다고 하면 노래방 협회가 있듯이 이런 비슷한 맥락에서 해석을 하면 됩니다.
MEI-RELSA was established on the first of January 2000 with the merger of two existing associations – RELSA and MEI. RELSA, the Recognised English Language Schools Association was established in 1969 as the trade association for the English Language School industry. Marketing English in Ireland was founded in 1993 as a cooperative marketing group for English Language schools. The result of the merger is a coherent industry body representing the majority of Quality Recognised English Language Schools in Ireland.

안녕하세요..
아일랜드 학교에 대해서 직접 홈피 들어가면서 알아보구있는데
궁금한 점이 있어서 질문좀 할껭요..
학원들 홈피보면 acel 인가?? 있고 mel 이 있자나요 이들의 차이점이 먼가요
어떤곳은 acel만 있고 mel은 없고 어떤덴 다 있고..
또 워킹 홀리데이나 대부분의 유학원, 또는 에이전트 들의 추천학교에는
mel이 붙은 학교들만 추천학교를 하던것 같던데요.완전은 아니겠지만 거의다 그런것 같아서요 그 이유가 궁금합니다..
acel은 약간 mel보다 더 검증이 안된것인가요??
